Join us for the Yarnology Misdummer Retreat in Winona, MN July 16 - 18. 2027. Like our Makers Mornings, this retreat is an opportunity to work on your own project in a relaxing atmosphere with a chance to meet others. Bring your knitting, crochet, embroidery or drop spindle work! Space is limited to 28, so make your reservation early.
Winona is a wonderful place for summertime activities. Come a day early or stay a day longer! Lake Winona and the Mississippi River provide opportunities to hike, kayak, canoe and paddleboard. Take in a performance at the Shakespeare or Beethoven Festivals or visit the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. A short drive across the river you can hike Perrot State Park with incredible vistas of the Driftless Region or visit Elmaro Vineyard to sip and craft.
Retreat registration includes the following:
- Friday, July 16 from 5pm to 9pm. We kick off the retreat with a dinner of small plates, a variety of beverages and time to craft (and shop if you like) within Yarnology.
- Saturday, July 17 from 9am to 9pm. Craft at the Winona County Historical Society in lovely Wanek Hall, just a few short blocks from the shop. Attendees can come and go as they please. Lunch will be served at noon.
- Sunday, July 18 from 9am to 3pm. Return to Yarnology to craft (and again shop if you like). Lunch will be served at noon.
Your welcome package will include names of restaurants recommended for breakfast and dinner. Also, not all attendees may need a hotel, therefore, we have not included accommodationd in the retreat fee. We recommend booking as soon as your spot is confirmed as hotels fill quickly for summer stays (link to website).
Cost: $225
Includes: Catered meals include Friday evening meal, Saturday and Sunday lunches, beverages, and snacks throughout the event. All dietary needs will be met with email confirmation of retreat entry.
Cancellation Policy: $200 will be refunded if an alternate atendee is found; otherwise, all fees are non-refundable. As the retreat is limited to 28 attendees, there will be an active waitlist.
