Ranunc-along Week 1

Hello Knitters!

Welcome to the Ranunc-along! Below you will find a few Ranunculus and Ranunc-along resources and reminders. But first I wanted to let you know what our Yarnology staff has been up to Ranunculus wise.

Susan, the self proclaimed serial sweater starter, has just finished her first Ranunculus. If you attended LYS Day, you may have noticed Gaby wearing it. It’s in Isager, Trio 2 held double because Susan couldn’t resist the drape of Trio 2, but desired a less sheer, stand-alone tee.

Speaking of Gaby, the rumor is, she too is about to knit her first Ranunculus! Details will be forthcoming once her yarn decisions have been finalized.

I was wearing my newest Ranunculus on LYS Day, it's Isager Soft Fine and Isager Trio 2 held together. I'm still excited by this combo! If you weren't here, or don't happen to remember what I was wearing, It’s the sample demonstrating Option 3 of the Ranunculus bundles.

I will soon be knitting my 4th Ranunculus, because I love this pattern and more importantly, couldn't resist Renunc-along-ing with all of you! This one will be a gift and I'm waiting on the color to be finalized, but I’ll be using Palmer Soft Sock, and Palmer Mohair Silk held together.

If you are curious, all the Ranunculi you see around Yarnology have the smaller neckline option. Midori Hirose has a great video that shows the crochet "Chained Method" cast on. I also found a Purl Soho video showing a provisional cast on (another name for the same thing), holding the yarn in her right hand. Those are below.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon, whether it's on the Ravelry Ranunc-along Forum or in person!
