A Rare Opportunity

"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire."

Dear One,
When it's too wintery to be doing all your favorite things outdoors and too spring-like to be hibernating, what are you inclined to lean into? I am weirdly excited about interior painting in my house. I started in the entry and have now bounced into my bedroom. My dear spouse mumbles that "the old color seemed just fine", but also appreciates that this change-up is energizing me.
Another thing that energizes me during this "shoulder season" is learning a new skill. If you are craving a learning opportunity as well, we are both in luck.
It is rare that we have the time and the staffing to teach in the shop, but March kicks off a season of learning at Yarnology. Have you been asking for a chance to learn new stuff and blowing your bangs in exasperation every time we asked you to be patient? Your time has arrived, my dear.

Whether you're an absolute beginner or somewhat more advanced, whether your passion is knitting or crochet, you'll find the class you need in the upcoming array of options.
If you're a total newby, the classes are arranged so that you can take them successively and build your skills at a comfortable pace--with plenty of time to practice and get comfortable. But if you already know a few things, read the class descriptions and find the one that will serve as your entry point.
Perhaps you just want to learn to knit in the round or read a crochet pattern. We've got a class to meet each of those needs. Browse the smorgasbord of choices and choose just what you want on your plate.

Just when you need a new focus and have the time to learn new skills, an abundance of opportunity appears. But there's a slight catch: the window is open briefly. We keep our classes small and personal and they will fill quickly. If you miss your chance, it will likely be 2026 before we can offer these again.
If you need to justify spending on yourself, categorize it as professional/personal development. You are already fabulous. But take some time to expand your yarn-y resume.
Warmly,
Gaby
P.S. I feel a bit like those people pushing tasty samples at Costco, but there's one more thing you need to know right now: The Palmer+Yarnology DK Yarn Club is open for sign-up for the next quarter (Apr-May-Jun). You can also sign up on a month-to-month basis, but the 3-month plan is a better deal. Details here. You may need someone to gift this to you for Mother's Day or Father's Day. It's perfect.
