A Chance to Catch Your Breath

"Breathe deeply, until sweet air extinguishes the burn of fear in your lungs and every breath is a beautiful refusal to become anything less than infinite."

D. Antoinette Foy

Dear One,

Even though April's weather doesn't quite allow us to plant things in the upper Midwest...and even though there's (fingers crossed) no more snow to shovel...I somehow don't seem to have gained any down time. What the heck? I'm beginning to think that, in order to get any significant amount of knitting in my day, I'm actually going to need to schedule it on my calendar. Like the dentist. Only cozier.

Happily, there's a Maker's Morning on the horizon this Saturday.

What, you may ask, is Maker's Morning? It's a two-hour stretch of gathering/inspiring/making time at Yarnology. It happens about once a month and Saturday, April 19 from 10-12 is our next opportunity.

There's a $10 investment to reserve your seat but, in turn, we'll give you a $5 credit toward any purchase made April 19th.

And whether it's work or time in the car or maintenance projects or caring for others that is gobbling up your time---couldn't we all use 120 minutes to relax and breathe and work on something FUN?

The other big news is Local Yarn Shop (LYS) Day, coming up rapidly on Saturday, April 26. We'll be giving you all the important details next week, but I cannot keep myself from telling you just a bit:

--We'll be open from 11 to 4 that day---that's a whole extra hour of fun in the shop!

--We're launching a knit-a-long that you will not want to miss out on

--You'll be first to have a chance to purchase three new patterns

--We can hardly wait to see you a week from Saturday!

I hope you are able to gather within your yarn community in whatever way best fills your heart and your sweet, reliable lungs. When the day gets too busy and the calendar gets too full---remember to exhale. And grab your yarn. Both will help.

Warmly,

Gaby
