This cowl is knit seamlessly in the round from the bottom up, though there is not truly a top/bottom, so it doesn’t matter how you orient it while wearing it."

Cullinan Fedora

The Pattern
The Cullinan Fedora is crocheted top down with a tight gauge to create a sturdy but comfortable fabric. The typical shape of the hat crown bent downwards in the middle is achieved by steaming. The wide brim is shaped and stabilized using hat wire. This is the first of five designs forming part of the Cullinan Collection. The diamond shape in the mosaic work was the inspiration behind the name. The biggest diamond ever found in South Africa (my home country) was named the Cullinan Diamond.
The Yarn:
Berroco Pima Soft
A lovely and delightfully soft two-ply cotton, perfect for anything from beautiful sweaters and accessories to heirloom knits for baby, kids or home. Available in a full spectrum color palette. Made in Peru.

Nomad Stitches'
Heartbeat Mittens

The Pattern
"The Heartbeat Mittens are bold and beautiful. They remind me of a fun 90’s outfit that might have put your father on edge, loud music on your disc-man, and dance parties with friends. The kind of thing that makes you feel alive, hence the name. They have a simple vertical construction that starts at the thumb, with intarsia color changes in three colors throughout the hand. The stitch creates a soft ribbing that hugs your hands and wrists and makes them extra cozy."

Stargazer Socks
By Crystal Hiatt
Spring and Summer (and early Fall!) are always joyful times with warmer temperatures and the shedding of our layers. These cute little ankle socks are just the recipe for something sweet and fun for this time of year!
Coffee Talk Socks
By Tracie Millar
Coffee Talk socks are the perfect take along project. I like to think of them as texture with a twist. They are a simple, easily memorized texture pattern on the front, and “don’t even have to think about it” stockinette on the back. They end with a gorgeous faded two colour toe.

What Kelly's Wearing:
Simple Tee by Churchmouse Yarns

The Pattern
"Here’s the light little top we’ve been looking for! You can knit it to a cropped hip length, or longer with side vents; in a sport- or light-DK-weight yarn or a lace weight for dressy sheerness. Vent edges and sleeveless armholes have a tidy slipped-stitch edging. You’ll wear---and knit---this “tee” again and again."
The Yarn
Twig from Shibui Knits is a unique blend of three fibers: linen, silk, and wool. This yarn creates a luxiously lightweight fabric with a trendy tweed look. Shibui Twig is a fingering-to-sport-weight yarn but recommended gauge is for a DK weight. A summer tank top or lightweight scarf would be lovely using Twig.
